Drymaria cordata

Drymaria cordata is an annual prostrate herb with slender, smooth stems in the family Caryophyllaceae. The plant is native to Assam. The Assamese common name of Drymaria cordata is লাইজাবৰি (Laijabori, Lai Jabori). Other common names of the herb are Tropical Chickweed, chickweed, drymaria, heartleaf drymary, West Indian chickweed. The plant has medicinal value. The plant is used as appetizer, depurative, emollient, febrifuge, laxative and stimulant. Shape of leaves is roughly heart shaped, arrangement of leaves is opposite and margin of leaves is entire.
