Justicia adhatoda

Justicia adhatoda is an evergreen, much-branched perennial shrub in the family Acanthaceae. This plant is native to Assam. The common names of the shrub are Malabar nut, adulsa, adhatoda, vasa, vasaka, Pra-madya, Simhasya, Vaji-danta and Vajin. The Assamese common name is বগা  বাহক, বাহক  তিতা(Boga Bahak, Bahak Tita). Justicia adhatoda is a medicinal plant and widely used in traditional medicine. The arrangement of leaves of Malabar nut is opposite, shape of leaves is lanceolate, and flowers are usually white.
