Potentilla indica

Potentilla indica is a perennial, spreading and hairy herb in the family Rosaceae. This herb is native to Assam. The Assamese common name of Potentilla indica is গৰুখিচ (Garukhis). Other common names of the herb are mock strawberry, Indian-strawberry, false strawberry plants. The leaves are trifoliate, dark green. Leaflets are obovate and margin of leaves are dentate. It has yellow flowers.  Fruit is like a small round strawberry, fleshy and red. The plant spreads along creeping stolons, rooting and producing crowns at each node.
